Our Admissions Process

Admissions

We are a Catholic school. We welcome children and their families from a wide range of faith backgrounds or indeed those that may have no faith at all.

We would love to show you around our school so that we can tell you all about the wonderful things we have on offer and find out how we can support you in choosing the right school for your family.

The admissions and application process can feel a bit overwhelming, but we are here to help!

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is part of the local authority’s in-year co-ordinated admissions scheme. To apply for a place at this school, an application must be submitted to the local authority via:

In-Year Applications

An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made via Oxfordshire County Council:

Changing or Moving School

Please do contact us directly if you would like to visit the school before making your application. We would love to show you around!

Our Open Days

Parents and carers of children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 can apply now for a place in Reception for September 2025.

We are holding an open morning on 12th November 2025 from 09.00-10.00am for anyone who would like to come and see what we are all about.

If you can’t make that date, we welcome visits to our school at any time. Just call the school office on 01491 572796 to arrange a date and time that suits you.

If you are a parent of an older child transferring from another school, the prospectus and the curriculum pages linked to your child’s year group should give you a very good insight into what we offer at Sacred Heart. Nothing quite beats a visit to the school though, so do come and see us. We look forward to meeting you.
